World Cup 2010 Qualifying South America

Today the final round of the World Cup Qualifying Group stages in Europe, Central America and South America will take place. The most interesting game that needs to be highlighted is the Uruaguay vs Argentina match. Both teams ain't sure of the World Cup 2010 yet, and the rivalry is huge. Where Brazil, Paraguay and Chile easily took a ticket to South Africa, these two are still struggling to qualify with a third, Ecuador, aiming to beat them indirectly.# Team Matches Points4. Argentina 17 25 5. Uruguay 17 24 6. Ecuador 17 23Note: 4th Place means direct qualification, 5th place is a playoff against a Central American team, 6th place is over and outAs you can see, it's a close call with the upcoming final games; URU vs ARG and CHI vs ECU. For Chile it's easy; they're already qualified and they probably would love to see Uruguay and Argentina failing to make it. Eduador needs to take the 3 points and when that happens we've got an interesting situation. Everything can happen. Both Argentina and Uruguay are willing to win and can't play for a draw. The home advantage for Uruguay and the great atmosphere in Monteviedo will make this game interesting, as no one expects Argentina to miss the World Cup. Last time this happened was in 1970. If Argentina loses, they're out and they will miss the World Cup 2010. If they win they will qualify, a draw gives them at least a playoff ticket, ofcourse depending on the other result in the Chile vs Ecuador game. Uruguay just needs a win to be sure. Two rivals, a big game, and two nations with a great passion for football hoping they can qualify. But most likely only one of them will make it. Don't miss this game. Tune in tonight at 11pm UK, midnight CET or 6pm EST:
